Creek Restorations

In collaboration with landowners, the Prescott-Russell Stewardship Council is working on the restoration of the Hawkesbury and Azatica creeks. Erosion control tactics to a section of privately owned banks of the Azatica creek were completed in 2003 and 2004.

The Stewardship Council mandated water analyses on the Hawkesbury creek. Restoration and rehabilitation projects on this creek will be done in the upcoming years, thanks to the efforts of many volunteers from the Hawkesbury and Vankleek Hill regions.
