The Ottawa Stewardship Council is comprised of volunteers representing a wide range of vocations, interests and ideas. Past and present councillors include woodlot owners, urban residents, hunters and anglers, naturalists, rural residential owners, community association members, farmers, cottagers and recreationalists. They are motivated by community service and are oriented towards the natural environment. They are:

Robin Wentzel
Ottawa Grew up in various parts of southern Africa in both an urban and rural setting. Agricultural degree specializing in animal production. Experience in the research and development of animal health products. Masters degree in Environmental Management (greenspace management). Established region's first environmental conscious landscaping and lawn alternatives company.
Kelly St. Denis
Richmond Ecosystem Management Technologist, with experience working on shoreline restoration projects and public information presentations/information packages. Experience working with privte landowners concerning invasive plant species.
Sharina Dodsworth
Ottawa Degree in Ecology and Evolution (Simon Fraser University, BC. Currently working for a National not-for-profit Science Education organization. Experienced in youth science and environmental education, and research in the fields of evolutionary biology and biodiversity.

Mark Rowsell

Ottawa Mark Rowsell, a physical Geographer, from University of Waterloo. Working in Mapping & Information Group at the Eastern Ontario Model Forest focused on monitoring and reporting program & projects looking at the state of eastern Ontario’s Forests. An active volunteer with the Land Stewardship Council, Rural Forest Advisory Committee, and the City of Ottawa Forests and Greenspace Advisory Committee.
Kamal Khidas

Biological and Environmental Sciences teacher, University and College; past work experience in Africa and Europe – focused on animal biology, ecology, and conservation; and environmental scientist supplying policy makers with guidance on environmental protection and environmental resources management

Richard Burnford

Orleans

Graduate Certificate in Environmental Education and Communications. Certificate in Environmental Assessment. Several years experience working with environmental assessments, environmental management systems, and Sustainable Development with a federal department. Volunteer with Friends of Petrie Island.
Crispin Wood

Degree in Biology (Carleton University), Forestry Technician and ISA Certified Arborist. Currently working for Agriculture Canada in the fields of Horticulture and Urban Forestry. Active volunteer with the Friends of the Central Experimental Farm.

Minh Ngo   

Ottawa

An interest in the natural and built environment led Minh to study agroecology and community development at the University of British Columbia. A short lived career as a rice farmer on a tiny little island in the Pacific Ocean further cultivated a respect for land and food systems of communities. She hopes her work with the OSC will help people understand, protect and enjoy the basic elements of life.
