Scouts Canada Tree Plant

Our Council has supplied funding and technical support for the local Scouts Canada annual tree plant since 1996. Each year, approximately 200 Scouts and parents plant 5000 seedlings. The planting day is a fundraiser for the scouts of our area but it is also linked with an educational component explaining why trees are important (economic, environmental, social), what trees are used for, as well as the community impacts of such projects.
