Our Incredible World
Our Incredible World, completed in 2007, is a six-part dramatic series in both English and French focusing on biodiversity and the importance of wetlands. This idea for this product was brought to the attention of our council by a local teacher looking for better information on wetlands. This series, designed for grade six, helps teachers deliver the biodiversity strain of the new Ontario curriculum. This series is also linked to an interactive website and teachers guide. Presently the website is being upgraded and proposals have been submitted to raise funding to workshop the series at local schools. The series will continually be improved and updated. There is already a new episode being created to include Species at Risk and Invasive species. Funding partners have seen the value in this product and new opportunities are always being investigated. Our Eastern Stewardship Councils have also supported the project with a fundraising dinner and auction.
