Caring for Your Land - Workshop Series

Public education is a large part of every Stewardship Council’s program. In cooperation with other Stewardship Councils and community partners the “Caring for your Land” series has been developed.

These self contained workshops are user friendly with a PowerPoint CD presentation, speaker notes, handouts and a list of materials. The kits can be borrowed free of charge by any group interested in sharing and learning about sound management of our natural resources.

New topics are being developed and added to the expanding list. Some of the subjects are; Woodland Wildflowers, School Ground Naturalization, Urban Connections Series, Woodlot Management for Profit, Conifer Plantation Management, Living By Water, Sugar Bush Management, Forest Raptors, Species At Risk, and Lake Management Planning. To borrow one of the series of workshops contact the Grenville Stewardship Council (613) 342-8528.
