Pond Demonstration Project

Volunteers with the Grenville Land Stewardship Council have developed a site plan to rehabilitate an abandoned gravel pit excavation area with the help of a geographic information system (GIS) map of existing features. The spring of 2005 saw the planting of trees and shrubs at the site with the assistance of the Trees for Peace program.
