Eco-Buddies

In partnership with Environmental Connections and the Organix Foundation, funding was provided for field trips to the South Grenville Environmental Centre.

Grades 1 to 3 from St. Mark School in Prescott participated in two curriculum-based programs called "A Taste of Spring" and "Critters and Mini Beasts". The students rotated through a number of demonstration sites as they learned first-hand the history of collecting and producing maple syrup, experienced tapping and measuring sugar maples, and earned a new respect for the smaller beasts in our environment.
