Caring for Your Land Series - Course in a Box
Update July, 2005:
The Caring For Your Land Series continues to develop both with new courses being planned and also with the amount of requests for the individual courses.
Courses in development and scheduled for completion in 2005 are "Trees are Important", and "Biodiversity Indicator Species". The Grenville Land Stewardship Council continues to be the custodian of the courses and all requests are serviced through the GLSC.
Annual Report 2003:
The "Caring for Your Land Series" (Course-in-a-Box)
initiative has completed ten environmental courses that are
designed to educate landowners and the general public. Each
course contains a binder with the course material and a presentation
on CD.
These self-contained resources are available to interest
groups and individuals in the community. The steering committee
overseeing this project has developed a communication strategy
to launch the project at the Provincial Stewardship Training
session to be held in Doreset in February 2004.
In partnership with Forestry Design Consultants, the following
promotional components have been developed to promote the
initiative:
- Caring for Your Land course catalogue
- Table-top display to promote the project
- Powerpoint slide presentations
- Project brochure
The Grenville Land Stewardship Council will act as the custodian
for the project to manage incoming requests. The Caring for
Your Land series catalogue will also be launched on this Web
site.
